I took this picture especially for you Aqilah. See that lad staring into the distance? That is Aiman

The high quality pictures were either taken using the smart auto setting or taken on a tripod....

Skinny love

Sorry for not blogging for a really long time. Just so you know, I got 1A+,1A, 4A- and 3B+ which I'm pretty thankful for considering my progress during my final two year at sekolah menengah. It's funny how everyone got all excited about my results considering Aiman got like 9A's. So as a present I got this lovely camera that i was eyeing for quite some time (I literally cried at the shop when my dad told me to think about the purchase first, I'm a sensitive kid what to do?). I've been practicing using it and I admit I'm having some troubles trying to take a steady picture. My dad was hoping I would get another camera but no! I stand by my choice! Hehe.... :D. To be quite honest I'm really bad at attempting to take steady pictures unless it's on a tripod or something but I'm learning everyday. I really enjoy taking pictures (I have my instagram account filled with random pictures to prove it!) and with Allah's blessing I hope to be really good at it someday (I hope real soon because raya is coming)! :3 More updates soon.....

Radioactive

In the impending wait of my SPM results (5 more FREAKING days oh my gawd!!!!), I haven't been doing much except lounge around in my bed until late afternoon playing with my soon to be outdated recently bought Galaxy S3 (Samsung just recently posted a video of the long awaited Galaxy S4 -_-) and  performing occasional chores here and there. There's currently no "domestic help" in the house right now since my last one has gone back to Indonesia for a long well-deserved holiday and won't come back until around June. So my parents have been occasionally borrowing my grand parents' housemaid but since the latter are pretty sick right now, we just decided to let them keep her for the time being. So like right now, I'm usually home alone having to fend for myself without anybody really telling me what to do which is both a curse and a blessing at the same time. The curse being that I became an unhealthy lazy recluse of course.
In other news, I am feeling pretty disappointed as today was the day where ISKL reveals the shortlisted scholarship candidates. Since I haven't received any e-mails or seen any list related to the topic I have concluded that I am not applicable for the next round which is the interviews. I know that in my previous post I stated that even if I did get the scholarship I won't be able to go to that school so why bother? Well I'll tell you why I bothered, it's because I worked pretty hard for it to the point where I actually studied for the entrance test! I thought maybe if I made it until the interview rounds it would prove that I am more capable and eligible for something than I let myself think. So yeah, that was the downer for today but I guess it's fine. Maybe it's just SPM result jitters.
Other than that, I have that trip to the US to be happy about soon. To be honest, I'm not really looking forward to this trip mainly because it's a 16 hour flight and I'll be going to California which isn't really much if you look at the big picture. I'm visiting my sister in University of South California, Fullerton (which till this day I have no idea why she chose that place as there isn't much happening there).  Not to sound ungrateful but I much prefer if I go somewhere on the east side since it's much of a happening place over there. I understand that maybe by going to the west side it is slightly more convenient since it's nearer but why did my sister choose Fullerton? I have no idea. I would've expect for her to go to San Diego or Anaheim since it's livelier which I'm sure it's more towards her preference. I'll only be in the US for 2 weeks during the spring break and would come back on the day before my birthday which is cool I guess. But I probably won't have the energy to celebrate after that since I'll end up being jet lagged............................................................Oh my god! I just had the sudden realisation! Maybe my parents did this intentionally so they wouldn't have to celebrate my birthday and by the time I ask for a birthday present it'll be too late! LOL, jokes........... but either way I just hope to god that this trip goes as smoothly as possible since I'll be going there with AirChina which has less of a good reputation :-/

Rush Hour!

So on the 6th of March marks a certain someone's birthday but sadly I couldn't be there, so to make it up to him, I decided to go see him on the 9th instead because it was a weekend and my dad was finally around to take me. This boy who once gorged over leftover carbonara and would arrange his mountains of soft toys in a straight line every night before bed has become a young man who continues to mature both physically and emotionally everyday. It's so weird thinking of him in that sense because I sometimes still think that he is that same chubby 10 year old that I always enjoyed annoying and vice versa. It's quite nostalgic really :) Although our relationship hadn't really been the same since you left for boarding school over 2 years ago but I am utterly grateful of your presence in my life and shall forever be :)
To my one and only adik, Adam................ Happy 15th Birthday and don't forget to be awesome :D
 Love,
Aida :')

The John Green book marathon.

My ever growing John Green book collection.
So I finished reading Looking For Alaska last night and thought that I should give a review today but then I remembered I was suppose to give another book review for The Fault In Our Stars quite some time ago but never really got to it which made me realise that I should probably just review back on all 3 of them once I finished with An Abundance of Katherines. His books have been pretty good so far and I've been pretty satisfied with my purchases. I'm considering to get his other 2 books Paper Towns & Will Grayson, Will Grayson (which David Levithan co-wrote) but that's for some other time.
I'm also considering to read Interlok by Abdullah Hussain since I own a student copy that never met the light of day and I really need to hone my Malay vocabulary and grammar. My mum read it and she said she liked it so there's no issue there. You see, Interlok was suppose to be the novel we were suppose to read for the literature component of BM last year. But because of certain terms and phrases in the book that came off slightly offensive and racist, people protested the use of the novel as our reading material after a year the book was used at school and eventually the government decided to use back the previous novel for our BM literature component. By then I already bought the book and decided not to return it because my mum had already made dents and creases in the book.
Sssssssssooooooooooooooo, yeah! I think that's about it. I'm still waiting for my learner's permit so I haven't really started any proper driving lessons yet and I'm pretty angry about it because everybody's posting pictures of their P license cards on Facebook and here I am.........

PAVLOVA

So remember that time when I blogged about those mini pavlovas that I couldn't stop eating? Yeah, my mum's friend made a whole new batch and I had to stop myself from stuffing myself to bring you this picture. :B
