In all that chaos there is calculation...

   Sorry for not updating blogs you guys. As usual I have school to attend to and I haven't really got an idea what to contemplate about (well maybe I do but I just don't know how to eloquently present it). So I'm just going to post my midterms and give you my opinions on it.

   Dum!Dum!Dum! Here they are friends! To be quite honest I'm actually slightly upset with my progress here. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this to you guys but despite the short length of time between the beginning of the semester and the midterms, your midterm marks are actually extremely important as most people use it to send in their applications to universities overseas and it basically is the standard grade that would set the bar on how well you're cable of doing for the semester. It's pretty difficult to lift your grades that is like 10 marks higher or vice versa, if there is any changes made into your grade it'll be like a couple of points more or less (unless you flunked hard on the final examinations). I was hoping to get a 90% for at least one of my subjects but it was not going to happen...It's hard to admit but all of my lecturers this semester are greedy hardballs (wwhhaaattt??) when it comes to giving out grades.

  I'm currently having a long weekend break so with long weekends comes with a long list of assignments:

   As per usual, I haven't done any of it yet (lol) but I'm going to start soon I promise (gulp)! hahahaha...  My brother's having his annual All-Boys slumber party with his friends tonight so I'm not sure how I'll cope with that since the top floor of my house (my brother's room) don't have the thickest floors and walls. I also calculated that the average weight of the boys would be about 85kg so......I'm not condemning their weight in any way it's just that my brother has REALLY TALL GIGANTIC FRIENDS 0.0 But I'll do my best to manage like I have been doing for the past 7 years...

  A little on the flip side, I've started casually reading fiction again (yay!). First book on the list:

Paper Towns by John Green! I've always loved John Green as an author and a person in general. He writes the most beautiful stories and I'm lucky to have read almost all of them! His latest book, The Fault In Our Stars has been turned into a movie and it'll be out in theatres soon so I'm SUPER STOKED! But I have to be quite honest and say, I'm kind of doubting the actor choice for the role of Augustus 'Gus' Waters (leading male). If you don't know, the person who's playing the character is Ansel Elgort:

He seemed stiff in the Divergent and trios movie trailers...

But I hope I'm wrong and he does well in both movies. Either way I'll be happy as long as John Green's happy with how his book-to-movie adaptation turns out (fingers crossed).  Good movie or bad movie, trios (The Fault In Our Stars) is a beautiful story. I'll post some behind the scenes stuff from the trios movie from John Green's Youtube channel (yes, John Green has a popular Youtube channel...).

For some reason I can't explain...

 It's been quite a long time since I've done a proper blog entry which is mainly because I have been very busy trying to hand in my assignments in time without accidentally bursting into flames. 

Okay to be quite honest, I'm not really sure what to blog about recently because my life has so far been currently filled with college stuff and tumblr posts. So nothing much has changed. Still got no boyfriend, still an okay social life, still ain't pretty *shrugs*. But whatever, I'm going to do my best to continue blogging on since I've kept this site for almost 6 years now.

  

Alright, so for a little update: 

1. I have just completed my finals for my first semester  but as always it didn't really end as well as I hoped it would. But in good news, there were no signs of creeping panic attacks so therefore I did not go into an emotional breakdown during the exams. So new achievement unlocked! (yay!) 

2. I (nearly) finished all of my assignments (except for that annoying one) for the subjects I took this year so I now have a basic idea of the stress I am going to expect next year. Let's just hope that the stress slightly lessens by then since I already took the taxing core English subject (But I suspect it'll be more or less the same since I registered for a social science class for next year). 

3. My semester break has technically begun like 2 days ago [So here I am].

    So I think that's the latest of what I've been up to so far really, nothing much. I'm so glad that I finally got a semester break because, seriously I just cannot take another series of assignments and tests as of right now. I'm looking to spend the first few weeks of my break with a little bit of rest (which is why I'm going for a 4-day trip to Bali sometime next week) and I'm hoping to spend the rest of the days starting up on some community service hours since I haven't really started on it (f.y.i, as a student of the Canadian Pre-University programme, I am required to do at least 10 hours of community service in order to graduate). Yup, I think that's about the only things I have planned really, maybe I'll fit in a few university sightings and lonely shopping in there. The only mentionable worthy activity I've done so far is go to the Big Bad Wolf annual book sale;

for those of you who don't know, The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale (a.k.a Big Bad Wolf or BBW) is an annual book mega sale that is usually held by the end of the year.

   This was my first year going there and lucky enough I was able to go there twice. It was very thrilling going there since the books were hella cheap and were pretty new. 

    Okay, so I'm pretty tired right now so I am going to stop the post right here. I'm planning to do a BBW book haul post soon so keep a watch on that (lol, again; like anybody reads this blog, especially now). I'll try to update as much as I can on my Blogspot while I'm on my vacation. ;)

Hello, my name is Aida Anis and as you can see from this picture and the last post I made about my bookshelf, I have gone past the "like to read as a fun and intellectual hobby" phase and have gone to the other side (actually I've been on the other side for a really long time but I didn't want to admit it until now)....that's right! I am a book hoarder!!! God save us all e____e I bought the 2nd book to the game of thrones series last week and just bought the LOTR+the hobbit combo set today... all a while I still have not finished the first book to the game of thrones.... seven hells......that is all I could say....

I mean, how can you  leave a book store without a newly purchased book in your hand?  Like come on!!!

don't go chasing waterfalls

One of the many materials that I cherish in life are books. Each page is filled with enormous mystery and wonder that my imagination constantly anticipates which is why they've always played such an integral part of my life and how I view things in general. So since I have nothing much to write about as of late, I give you pictures of; My bookshelf !

It's pretty much in a state of total mess but I seem to like it in that way. Behind almost every book there's probably another book that I've hopefully read so you can see this shelf doesn't really accommodate much space. Besides books, I have my comic books, random junk, a mini locker with a cow print, cards, trinkets, trophies and etc. It's not organised or pretty to look at but that's what makes it special! Every book I chuck in there comes with a fond memory and every time I take one of them out of the shelf I am reminded of it. So regardless of how gay and sentimental I sound right now, this little book shelf means a lot to me. Besides, this thing has been attached to my bed for years so it's pretty hard to miss.

Do not judge the race car bed sheets, I swear those are the most comfortable sheets I have rested on.

New book! Got to finish beautiful creatures and it was decent. I'll probably give a full review about it later....I'm also trying to finish my other book that I was suppose to finish eons ago. Yup, it's the purple one :)
