Because I'm strong as an O. A. K

 Hey reader!
So as I promised in my previous blog, I would give you a full review on beautiful creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl (spoiler alert). Overall it was a decent book filled with Gothic southern settings and forbidden love. So basically the story is written through the perspective of a guy named Ethan Wate. He lives in this small southern town and like many of us is very eager to leave it. But it all changes when this weird mysterious new girl comes to his school. Unlike Bella from the twilight series nobody seems to like this girl because she apparently is the niece to the town's shut in Macon Ravenwood (sort of like the Boo Radley of that town). But Ethan being the bored yet inquisitive sort of guy kind of likes her not only because she's from out of town but also because she's been consecutively appearing in Ethan's nightmares ( I know, trippy right?). So the story begins with Ethan trying to court this chick (whose name is Lena Duchannes) and figuring out why she's all shy, awkward and moody. Eventually we find out Lena is actually a witch....oops!  I meant a caster and will probably be one of the most powerful casters in the world by her 16th birthday. The catch is she will either end up being claimed for the light (that means chosen to be a good caster that could save their entire caster race) or the dark (chosen to be an evil caster that could end up destroying us all). Its pretty sad because thanks to an ancestor that didn't think about the consequences to her actions, only the girls in Lena's family don't get to choose either they want to be good or bad. So it begins with Ethan and Lena trying to find loopholes to prevent her from going dark while at the same time trying to figure out how in some way they are related and drawn to each other.......
I know it's slightly complicated but I still think it's decent. I really enjoy the setting for this novel since you don't really hear about a lot of fantasy stories set in the south. I also liked that the authors gave a lot of basic history and knowledge behind the whole caster world so it became easier for me to understand. This book is much more different compared to twilight (to those of you who are comparing) mainly because it's written in a dude's point of view and Lena isn't exactly the abnormally beautiful and broody type. She's just plain awkward and dresses funny like most of us. But I have to say Ethan is a little bit like Bella when it comes to the whole "I am so in love, what the hell I'm going to do when you're gone" thing. But hey, it is natural to feel those things when you're in love so I ain't gonna debate on that. People have been saying how they prefer the mortal instruments by Cassandra Clare more which increases my curiosity. Maybe that should be my next book series to read?
Okay, so in other news my sister finally left for the states and she's all emotional and messed up over there. My mum said that she's been crying over everything from room disputes to missing supply lists. I don't know how her apartment buddy's doing but I bet probably much better than my sister........They both left last Sunday and all of us got all emotional when sending them to the airport. Compared to her buddy's family, ours is so much more emotional and sensitive to the point that it can get a little hysterical at times. I have a feeling my family is probably one of the most effusive families around. But the weird part was I didn't cry as much as I expected (being the cry baby that I am). I shed like one or two tears when hugging her and than I went back to being normal, my brother didn't even cry at all :/ I don't know what this means but I hope it's nothing serious and my sister will get herself together in time to start her classes.
Other than that, I'm studying for my computer test (which I hope is this Saturday) and typing out my personal statement (who knew writing one is gonna be this hard?). I'm really pissed at this one teacher who hasn't updated me about my recommendation letter because his letter is probably very important in proving that I did some legit extracurricular activities at school!!! I really need to get everything done in time to send it out so I can at least be considered for that scholarship!!!! Oh god I'm so angry right now!!!! AAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! *flips table*

Beautiful creatures

Yes as the title suggests, I am currently reading that book right now because I saw the trailer for the movie and it seemed interesting. So far so good and I'm actually making good progress with it. I bought the book in Thailand at this place called Asiabooks and over there, they offer to wrap your purchased book for free which was great! The price for the books are still sort of the same but I just couldn't help myself to purchase one. I seem to do that a lot.....
In other news, since I have nothing else to do at home I am begrudgingly  studying for my computer test (ujian undang-undang). I really hope that I only have to take this thing once because I am not gonna haul my ass to this secret unknown location of a driving school in the middle of puchong time and time again. One trip is enough. My other cousin already took his test and he got 47/50 and I am slightly jealous after hearing this. I know as his family member I should feel proud of him and all but having a cousin who happens to be the same age as you (and just happens to always do better in certain criterias such as exams and social interaction) you can't help but feel a little bit of envious at times. But whatever, it's natural. My parents and I are going college browsing tomorrow and I already laid out my plans (if you can call them that)....they agreed to look into IB diploma as one of my choices so that's good right?

Superman socks.....

Okay, quick one..... so last night I was back at school in my uniform and I was confused. I decided to go back to my old class but the thing was, the people in that class weren't my classmates so I decided to ask someone what year I was in and she told me it was 2011 and then I was like Nnnnnoooooo!!!!!!!! After that I told her I was in the wrong class but then she said "oh no it's ok, you can stay here if you want" but then I was like Nnnnnoooooo!!!!! I woke up from my bed after that and realised it was all just a bad dream.....as a token of my appreciation for reading this please accept this lovely picture of me. Bye!

sweet serendipity

So I just signed up for driving lessons at the USJ driving school and no, its not metro. I initially wanted to sign up for metro this morning so I woke up hella early this morning so my mum could send me because she said she has to leave for work by 11:00am. According to my sister's old brosure they said metro opens at 9:00am so ok we went there at 9:30. Turns out when we arrived belum bukak and when we called they said they only opened at 10:30 -_-. By then my mum dah frustrated sangat So we decided to go the USJ branch (well at least I thought was the USJ branch). So we waited around until about 10:20 then baru bukak. So we went in and talked with the person and talked prices and all, I thought, okay, reasonable enough I decided to roll with the punches and sign up since we were running out of time(knowing my registration will be further postponed if I don't get it done now). My mum paid and we went back to the car and drove home...... On the way back she started complaining about prices and compared Metro driving academy's price to this one and started talking about how far the main driving school is (it's in Puchong) to the point that I got really frustrated. I mean, if you already knew the price for metro academy and how it runs over there why didn't you tell that to me the first place? How am I suppose to know I have an unlimited amount of computer test trials over there? Yeah, so I got so frustrated to the point that I was ready to the car's dashboard but instead I drew tears out of my eyes (because I'm so bloody sensitive). My mum saw me and she was like "why are you crying?" So I told her, then she was like "oh, I just wanted you to learn to compare, you can't do this, you have to act like an adult now, you can't cry........" That made me even more frustrated and I just kept quiet.  We arrived home, I went to the toilet to wash my face and she left for work. So now I'm here venting out my anger and frustrations.
I can't help for being such a prissy person and it sucks that I am. It can get really frustrating all the time because whatever worry or stress a normal person feels at the time, mine will be magnified 10 times worse. I sort of gravitate towards the stressful by the way because well, that's just how it is. I really just want all of my stupid paranoia and pressure to make everyone happy to just go away and not worry about much. The only way for me to fell happy or satisfied by something is by making others feel happy even though at times the things that I do for them isn't as agreeable. I'm just really hating on a bunch of people (including myself) right now so as to make myself feel a little better, I'm gonna go make myself some spicy ramen.............Gosh I'm really PMS-sy today, and it ain't even half the day yet.................

Welcome to the new age....

I'm currently rereading this book again just to fill in my time.  I remembered reading it masa form 3 & it kind of changed my perspective on a lot of things. I don't recommend it to everyone since it's sort of complicated in an enlightened sense but if you're all up for it, don't let me stop you! I'm still working on my personal statement and CV for the IB schools I would like to apply for and my lovely kitties are getting better everyday.  Just so you know, a few weeks back 2 of my kittens were sick and the vet told me that one of them has leukaemia and the other one might have blood parasites.  He gave me some meds for them and they seem to be alright! Yay! Alhamdulillah... I still haven't started any driving yet though. Other than that, I'm just lazing around with my laptop and phone doing derpy things on the internet. One thing I'm pretty excited for is The Host coming to theaters soon. The Host was written by Stephenie Meyer and it's actually a really good book. I read it during form 1 while waiting for Breaking Dawn to come out. It was really different compared to the twilight series and I highly recommend this. I guess that's it. I can't blog on my laptop since there's something up with my cookies(? ) or something. .. I'm bad with technology, I know.......
